On a peaceful little ranch in East Texas called Divine Acres Ranch, a work is in progress to build a non-profit, Christ-centered retreat for families with children who suffer from autism. The retreat is called Elijah’s Retreat. The vision is for 6 cabins to be built among the towering pine and oak trees overlooking pastures with horses, donkeys, miniature cows and goats. The hope is that families will come and enjoy the quiet, peaceful setting where the children can run and play and make as much noise as they want without fear of people who don’t understand them.
